Before We Start

We’re not able to offer a London Marathon place to everyone who applies. To give yourself the best chance of securing a place, be sure to give detailed answers to the questions in the “my application” section of this form.

We’re delighted you’ve chosen to join #TeamNSPCC and raise money to help protect children and prevent abuse, and we want to make sure that you have all the information you need to get ready for your activity. By registering, you’re agreeing to us contacting you for the following purposes:

• We’ll email you to share event day information, fundraising advice to help you reach your target, training tips, and information about our work to protect children.
• From time to time, we might also text you to share important event information, and call you to make sure you have everything you need for your event. 
• We’ll use your postal address to send you a handy information pack and event materials and a letter to say thank you.

We will only refund the registration fee if we do not offer you one of our charity places in the Virgin Money London Marathon. If we offer you a place but you chose to run for another charity we are unable to refund the registration fee.

This is the important bit, it’s your chance to tell us why you want to be part of Team NSPCC. Try to articulate in as much detail as possible why you want to run for NSPCC and how you would fundraise. From your answers we will know if we should offer you a place.

Photography and Videography

There may be a photographer at this event and pictures may be taken of you participating in the event. The NSPCC may use these photographs for the purpose of marketing future events online and on print materials, for a period of 5 years. If you do not wish your photograph to be taken and/or used, please let us know so that we can make the necessary arrangements. We are generously supported by various high profile corporates, in promoting work done by the NSPCC and raising funds to support the NSPCC’s work. For example, in the retail and finance sectors. We may supply images to these organisations for use in their internal fundraising drives or for use by them to promote the NSPCC on their social media channels, through their websites or in printed materials and press releases.
